Medical volunteer travel opportunities people looking to donate their time to help combat disease and suffering in developing countries.
While there is a dire need for professionally trained and licensed medical practitioners, there are also many opportunities for spouses and other dedicated volunteers with non-medical training.
Healthcare professional donate their time to help combat disease and suffering in developing countries. Medical volunteer travelers include doctors, nurses, therapists, students, technicians, religious, missionaries and other dedicated persons with non-medical training. Some work independently, but most are at least loosely affiliated with a group or organization.
Volunteers who can give week or two usually do it at their own expense. Volunteers who can commit to a year or more receive food, housing, and more.
While some volunteer organizations will pay for all travel, food and housing only for long-term volunteers, most short term opportunities are available at an attractive cost where the volunteer is required to cover the expenses.
Please exercise caution when booking with tour operators to ensure that their priorities are with the volunteer project and the communities they serve, and not just trying to generate business by misrepresenting the volunteer programs they are promoting.

You'll connect with in-country hospital staff, provide health care in its purest form and experience unparalleled travel adventures! We offer 12 to 14 trips throughout the year, with a handful dedicated exclusively to maternal and infant health care. All clinic trip locations focus on clinics and hospitals where Project C.U.R.E. has delivered medical supplies and equipment. The average team includes 6 to 12 medical professionals and a trained C.U.R.E. Clinics team leader. While participation is open to everyone, there is great demand for physicians, OBGYNs, pediatricians, surgeons, nurse practitioners, nurses and midwives.
