Go Western Turkey
Experience The Real Turkey

by Gurcan

I am a licensed tour guide who specializes in tours of Ephesus and Turkey, with over 6 years of experience. I am licensed with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and have a BA degree in Travel Management and Guiding. I have also studied Archeology, Mythology, Art History, History and Religion and am always keeping up to date with new discoveries in the archeology of Turkey.

For 5 years, I have worked as a tour leader and guide for a British Tour Company (The Imaginative Traveller) in Turkey, Greece, Italy. I have travelled and led 40 tours and over 600 people to almost every corner of Turkey. I now live in Izmir (city on the westcoast of Turkey) and guiding tours in Ephesus, in the western region and throughout Turkey. I can arrange any type of trip in the west or in other regions of Turkey and be your guide at any site of your choosing. With me, simply, you can customize your own holiday. From hotel bookings, Gulet (Turkish wooden motor yacht) cruises, a full-day or half-day Ephesus trip or a private trip around Turkey, all can be arranged for any budget or style.

Through my extensive experience, I have established excellent connections with service suppliers such as hotels, local agencies and guides which makes me well suited to make sure you will have a smooth running holiday anywhere in Turkey. I always want my clients to explore and experience real Turkey. For that reason I try to add a home-stay or a home-lunch in a Turkish village or just stop in a local coffee or tea house to get the real taste of Turkey. If they wish, I generally take my clients for a walk around downtowns and talk about Turkish life style, customs, cuisine or anything we come across.

In accordance with Turkish legislation and regulations, all my services and tours are arranged through Bitinya Tours, a licensed Travel Company based in Istanbul and a member of TURSAB (Association of Turkish Travel Agencies) with the license number 4471, with whom I have been working with for many years.
