Mikumi National Park cover about 3230kmsq,Tanzanian fourth biggest National park,it is nestled between the Uruguru Mountains to the East and the Rift Valley Escarpments to the Southwest.As it is close to the Selouse ecosystem and therefore part of it, it benefits from the highest game density of the entire conservation area.The park obtain a good impression of the African wild animals is suitable very well for a short visit.There is a rich variety bird species as well as large numbers of giraffes,buffaloes,zebra,wildebeest, elephants and other antelopes. Hippos and crocodiles in the water holes, also has a good number of Lions.Leopards they are often spotted.
Mikumi national park is mostly miombo woodland with gently rolling hills.

Getting there
From Dar-es-salaam 4 to 5 hours drive,5 to 6 hours from Selous game reserve

What to do
A day trip to Udzungwa mountain,foot safari or 4x4game drive.

Best time
Whole year.For game viewing from June to March.

Climate
The park reserve two rains fall seasons,the short rains from October to November;and the long rains starts from late February to May.
January and February are the hottest month,temperature measure up to 30 degrees C.
