The best Caribbean beaches are characterized by soft white and pink sand, many of which are surrounded by coral reefs that make them ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
Seven Mile Beach - Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands
A white sand beach that lines the west coastline of Grand Cayman Island. A reef protects the beach and provides calm water ideal for swimming and snorkeling. It's bordered by many hotels, but expansive enough where sunbathers do not end up towel-to-towel, or chair to chair. It's white fine, soft sand beach offers a beautiful contrast to the crystal clear water turquoise waters. The north end is less populated where Cemetary Reef Beach is located and is a great spot for sunbathing, swimming and offshore snorkeling.
Grace Bay Beach, Turks and Caicos
This 12 mile stretch of beach is protected by a barrier reef that offers calm water and safe swimming with good snorkeling off the beach. The sand is white and fine as baby powder. The beach is part of a national marine park and provides limited hotel and resort development and rarely gets crowded, even in high-season just adds to its appeal.
Horseshoe Bay, Bermuda
Bermuda's finely pulverized sand gets its pink hue from the calcium carbonate remains of the coral reef. The most popular and beautiful of Bermuda’s beaches is the Horseshoe Bay beach, a public beach with many facilities. To get away from the crowd, venture over to the small cove at the western end of the beach. The waters are shallow and sheltered, and great for small children.
St-Jean Beach, St. Barts
This beach is reminiscent of the St. Tropez with it's cafes and sailboats. Though it differs with its fabulous tropical pink like white powder sand, its clear turquoise waters, and reefs that protect the beach making it ideal for swimming. Topless bathing is acceptable.
